Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant; Nights - Oncology Medical Surgical Unit

• Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of the patient’s plan of care.

• Shift: Third Shift (Nights)
• Location:
  
  Werner Cancer Hospital Med‑Surg Oncology (WMSO), 36‑bed med‑surg unit at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center
• Nurse‑to‑patient ratio: 1‑to‑4 or 1‑to‑5
• Services: general oncology, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, and select hospitalists

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska
• Effective communication skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• High school education or equivalent
• Six months experience in patient care or enrollment in a nursing program
• Effective communication skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct patient care experience
• Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
