Position Highlights- Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of the patient’s plan of care.
- Shift: Third Shift (Nights)
- Location:
Werner Cancer Hospital Med‑Surg Oncology (WMSO), 36‑bed med‑surg unit at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center - Nurse‑to‑patient ratio: 1‑to‑4 or 1‑to‑5
- Services: general oncology, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, and select hospitalists
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska
- Effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High school education or equivalent
- Six months experience in patient care or enrollment in a nursing program
- Effective communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct patient care experience
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Newly increased pay for CNAs and Nursing Assistants
- Certification sponsorship, tuition reimbursement, and loan repayment program
- Flexible scheduling options (varies per unit)
