Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric RN for a 13‑week travel assignment at a facility in Omaha, Nebraska. The role involves providing comprehensive, age‑appropriate patient care to children across multiple clinical settings on a 12‑hour night shift schedule (36 hours per week).

- Explain procedures and treatments to children and their families in an appropriate manner.
- Administer prescribed medications, using pediatric‑specific dosing and delivery techniques.
- Prepare and manage pediatric‑specific equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of pediatric patients, incorporating developmental needs.
- Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians.
- Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs; assess patient condition and respond appropriately.
- Respond to life‑saving situations using standard nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record.
- Develop and implement patient and family education plans.
- Collaborate with families to develop and implement care plans for pediatric patients.
- Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance pediatric patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- One year of recent experience as a Pediatric RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
- NRP certification.
- Other certifications or licenses that may be required for this position.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Basic PC skills and understanding of written instructions.
- Physical abilities: remaining stationary, moving equipment (50‑100 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.
- Interpersonal skills: working effectively with a variety of personnel with a positive attitude.
- Technical/ motor skills: fine manipulation, use of equipment during procedures.
- Mental requirements: coping with frequent public contact, meeting deadlines under pressure, working without constant supervision.
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
