Job Summary

This Registered Nurse position at the CUMC-Bergan General Surgery Clinic involves supporting patients before and after surgical procedures, providing education, medication reconciliation, and wound care. The role is patient‑centered, focusing on safety, communication, and wound management.

Sign‑on Bonus: Up to $5,000 paid in full after 30 days of employment.

Location: CUMC‑Bergan Campus, 77th & Mercy.

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; no weekends, holidays, or on‑call duties.

• Guide patients through pre‑operative education and post‑operative recovery, including medication reconciliation.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes for a range of injuries, ensuring sterile technique and infection prevention.
• Assess patient needs, prioritize urgent cases, and communicate with providers to facilitate timely care.
• Serve as the clear, concise link among patients, families, surgeons, and other healthcare providers.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in practice in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
