Role:
Doctorally prepared nurse practitioner hired as an Assistant Professor (20 hour/week) to teach FNP practicum courses within the DNP program and manage related duties.
- Teach FNP Practicum courses within the DNP program.
- Manage DNP student vaccination records in the Typhon Clinical Tracking System.
- Manage clinical affiliation agreement requests for DNP students.
- Coordinate clinical sites/preceptors in multiple states to assist DNP students in clinical placement.
- Develop and update course materials, objectives, and assessments.
- Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain professional and collegial relationships with students, faculty, and clinical agencies.
- Participate in scholarship and service activities aligned with the Boyer Model of Scholarship.
- Engage in professional and community service activities as outlined in the NMC policy manual.
- Perform other duties as outlined in the NMC Employee Handbook.
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
- Unencumbered NE or multistate RN license and APRN‑NP license.
- Experience in community relationships and good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computers and standard office applications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to design, deliver, and assess academic instruction in higher education.
- Knowledge of various teaching methods and adult learning styles.
- Effective use of instructional resources, including time and available services.
Light work – up to 20 pounds of force.
Medium work – up to 50 pounds of force for students completing clinical assignments.
HazardsBiological agents (patient contact), physical hazards (noise, temperature, lighting), equipment hazards, and chemical agents. Rare hazards include toxic, corrosive, and flammable substances.
