Shift
:
Third Shift – Nights (7:00pm – 7:30am). Full time or part time available.
The WSCU is a 36‑bed specialty care unit dedicated to adult oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy, high‑dose chemotherapy, or bone‑marrow / stem‑cell transplant. The unit provides complex medication and blood‑product administration, and supports education and research for Oncology/Hematology patients and families.
Responsibilities- Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel to achieve the patient’s plan of care.
- Provide expert acute/critical and compassionate care to Oncology/Hematology patients and families.
- Support education, consultation, and research initiatives within the unit.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Nebraska.
- For Nursing Assistant positions:
Six months of patient‑care experience or enrollment in a nursing program. - Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association‑endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January1,2023 or later).
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Direct patient‑care experience.
