Description:

Unit notes indicate a radius rule of 50 miles. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated facility. RNs must pass a written exam during orientation. The exam is open book and covers skills learned during orientation. Candidates must achieve a 90% to pass; failure to do so will result in termination. The fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in all patient care departments.

Refusal to comply may lead to contract termination. Department operates with a staffing model that includes aids, EMTs, and paramedics. Phlebotomy is available for laboratory draws. Shifts may include 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a. Weekend requirements involve working every third weekend—Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday and Sunday days. Self-scheduling is permitted, but shifts are not guaranteed until the schedule is finalized.

Holiday requirements are rotating. Floating is not required. Request for time off should be noted upfront, with a maximum of 7 days allowed. Additional requests for time off will not be approved. The cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per contract. The charting system used is EPIC. A BSN is not required for this position.

This position is within an acute care setting with a trauma level of 2.
