Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves providing patient care in a busy acute care setting in accordance with department protocols. The RN will work nights on a self-scheduling basis with commitments every third weekend and rotating holiday shifts, supporting a diverse patient population across all ages.
Job Details- Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes every third weekend, with nights being Friday and Saturday and days being Saturday and Sunday. Self-scheduling is allowed, but no shifts are guaranteed until the schedule is finalized. - Required Qualifications:
Valid license to practice as an RN in the state of Nebraska; BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications; minimum of 2 years of ED nursing experience; pass/fail exam during orientation with a 90% passing score; candidate must have a valid driver's license, and must meet radius rule of 50 miles; artificial nails are prohibited;
orientation includes an open book skills exam. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a Level 2 trauma setting preferred. - Additional Information:
Department handles patients of all ages with a variety of diagnoses. Phlebotomy services are available. The facility utilizes the EPIC charting system. The role requires the candidate to be flexible to float with no floating requirements applicable, and upfront RTO requests of 7 days or fewer during the 13-week contract are accepted. The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
