Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated

Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:3 for post surgical patients in the first 24 hours Required
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients:
Patients who require intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients. Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart. Cath Lab, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR and any other cardiac and vascular related diagnosis Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year of experience with this patient population Are RNs required to titrate drips?:
Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips:
Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?:
