Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105!

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Omaha, NE | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (4x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week options available | 13 or 26 week contract options available

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, including complex and high-acuity patient populations
  • Administer and manage IV drips — drip competency is required on all floors
  • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
  • Float frequently across units and potentially to an affiliated community campus to meet staffing needs — travelers are first to float
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics/swoop, and LPNs (where assigned)
  • Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including working 4 out of 8 possible weekend shifts per 4-week period and 2 out of 3 major holidays
Required Qualifications
  • Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska — pending license accepted; however, candidates without license in hand at time of submission will be booked six weeks out
  • BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with experience in a large, urban hospital required
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting is required
  • First-time travelers not accepted unless candidate has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
  • Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — locals are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Stepdown/PCU, or Solid Organ Transplant
  • Experience working in a Level I Academic Medical Center or large teaching hospital environment
  • Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations and complex medication or blood product administration
