RN Nurse, Obstetrics, Travel Nurse
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. The role involves providing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases. The unit follows established staffing ratios as per guidelines. RNs are required to titrate drips, including Pitocin, magnesium, insulin, and antihypertensives. Charge nurses are available on each shift and may take on patient assignments.
An OB tech will be present on each shift to assist with patient care. Weekend and holiday shifts will be scheduled on a rotating basis. RNs may voluntarily float to other departments within the facility as needed. RTO must be provided upfront and additional requests may not be approved. The organization reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
Experience with the charting system EPIC is preferred. This role will require adherence to a no artificial nails policy within patient care areas. Candidates must pass a skills exam during the orientation process. A minimum score of 90% is required for successful completion.
