Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Omaha, NE | Acute Care

Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:30) | Onsite | Possible night shift rotation; weeknight call 1–2 nights/week on average; weekend call approximately every 4–5 weeks (24-hour Saturday or Sunday, 1–2 days/month). Block schedules cannot be accommodated.

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment serving complex and acutely ill patients.
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties across a broad range of surgical cases including laparoscopic, general, bariatric, colorectal, oncology, orthopedic, and neurological procedures.
• Support and assist with DaVinci robotic surgical cases as required.
• Participate in on-call rotations including weeknight and weekend call assignments as scheduled.
• Chart accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC electronic health records.
• Adhere to facility policies including a 100% nicotine-free workplace requirement.

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska state license accepted as pending at time of submission).
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required.
• Experience with the majority of the following case types required:
  Lap Chole, Lap Appy, Ex Lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach, and DaVinci cases.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted.

• DaVinci robotic surgery experience highly preferred.
• Oncology, orthopedic, and/or neurosurgery OR experience highly preferred.
• Predominantly strong Neuro skillset strongly preferred (3 out of 4 Neuro competencies).

• Work within a top-ranked acute care facility offering exposure to highly complex, multi-specialty surgical cases in a dynamic and well-resourced OR environment.
• Scrubs are provided by the facility, and parking options are available on-site for traveling professionals.
