Compensation:
Starting pay is $20 - $30 per hour
We are seeking a Lawn Care Specialist
- Chemical Applicator Lead with experience in chemical application to provide professional lawn and landscape care. This role involves using specialized equipment to deliver high-quality service while maintaining safe and healthy outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate has a background in lawn maintenance and pest control and enjoys working outdoors.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides safely and accurately according to industry standards and regulations
- Inspect landscapes for pest issues or disease symptoms and recommend appropriate treatments
- Maintain accurate records of all chemical applications
- Safely operate and maintain specialized application equipment, including tank sprayers, stand-up sprayers, spreaders, and utility vehicles (UTVs).
- Operate hand tools, power tools and commercial lawn equipment effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency
- Drive company vehicles to various job sites while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist team members with other grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing and landscape cleanups. Snow and ice removal duties during winter season
- Prior experience in chemical application or spraying, preferably in a landscaping or turf environment. (We are willing to train.)
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, farming, or agriculture is preferred but hard working mentality is the most important
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 45 days of hire (company expense) and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools and commercial lawn equipment
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to operate safely around chemicals and commercial lawn equipment while following all safety guidelines is essential
