The Director of Quality Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, compliance, and effectiveness of services provided by the agency to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position involves developing and implementing quality assurance processes, monitoring program outcomes, conducting audits, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance plan aligned with the agency’s mission and regulatory requirements.
- Design and conduct regular evaluations of services and programs to assess effectiveness, quality, and alignment with best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and contractual requirements related to services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Lead internal audits and reviews of agency operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Establish outcome measures and performance indicators to monitor the impact and success of services on program participants’ lives.
- Analyze data and trends to identify patterns, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement in service delivery and outcomes.
- Collaborate with leadership and program staff to develop and update policies and procedures that enhance service quality and compliance.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in delivering quality services.
- Oversee the management of incidents and ensure timely reporting, investigations, and appropriate actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Prepare for and support the agency’s accreditation and licensure processes, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with service delivery, participant safety, and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to enhance overall quality and effectiveness of services.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their inclusion and access to high-quality services.
- Provide regular reports to executive leadership and board members on the status of quality assurance efforts and outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, special education) preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Experience: Significant experience in developmental disabilities services, including quality assurance, compliance, or program evaluation, with demonstrated leadership and managerial experience.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of best practices, regulations, and standards in the field of developmental disabilities services.
