Job Overview
Quality Assurance Associate role will ensure that the production operations at Omaha Manufacturing Facility meet the company quality and operations procedures. The major responsibilities of this are receiving and releasing incoming materials and inspecting and releasing production lines. This role will oversight the day-to-day manufacturing operation and works in closed collaboration with other departments such as:
Operation, Quality Control and Supply Chain.
- Performs Line Clearances and line Releases
- Answers calls from Operations for any quality issue
- Inspects, samples and releases incoming raw materials and components
- Releases in process materials to the manufacturing operation.
- Able to change status (hold, release, etc.) of materials, components and products in the inventory management system
- Verifies in-process and finished products to ensure specifications are met.
- Must be willing and able to work the day or evening shift as backup.
- Performs daily weight calibration checks of production scales.
- Completes paperwork review and product release for production jobs completed at the Distribution Center, as assigned
- Performs other support functions as assigned.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with job function

- Oversight day-to-day manufacturing operation
- Work with the Operations team to resolve issues (non-conforming inventory, production issues, etc.), ensuring product disposition (hold, release, etc.), as necessary
- Able to train new QA Associates
- Able to perform job duties independently
- Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook (or similar) and comfortable working in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently, detail oriented, desire to learn, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Computer skills and use of databases for specifications.
- Self-motivated and action-oriented with ability to work independently and work cross functionally across departments with strong display of collaboration.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous Quality Assurance experience in an EPA/FDA environment
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
