Clear Title & Abstract, LLC, is looking for an Iowa licensed attorney to join our team as a Commercial Escrow Officer. This is a full-time role based in our Council Bluffs and Omaha offices. The Commercial Escrow Officer is responsible for managing commercial real estate transactions from inception through post-closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with lenders, attorneys, brokers, and clients to gather documents;
reviewing title commitments, surveys, and closing instructions; preparing and balancing settlement statements; and facilitating escrow disbursements. The Commercial Closer will schedule and conduct closings, resolve issues that arise before or at settlement, and ensure all recording and funding requirements are met. The role also involves maintaining detailed transaction records, delivering responsive customer service, and supporting continuous process improvements.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Closings and Deal Closure skills, with experience coordinating commercial real estate settlements and bringing complex transactions to completion.
- Customer Service skills, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a client-focused approach throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Escrow-related skills, including handling funds, preparing settlement statements, and ensuring accurate disbursements and reconciliations.
- Relevant experience in title insurance, commercial real estate, or mortgage lending is beneficial.
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with closing and title software are preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple transactions simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Juris Doctor Degree and active Iowa Law License, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$130,000 per year
, based on experience, education, and skills.
