Entry-Level Lab Technician

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Full‑time, onsite Lab Tech 1 position located in Sheridan, WY. Compensation is $15.00 – $16.00 per hour, with final offer determined by geographic location, experience, education, skills and internal equity guidelines.

• Support scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis.
• Follow a variety of established sample preparation procedures.
• Work with solvents and chemicals for sample preparation.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remaining standing for long periods while conducting tests and working around strong smells.
• Will wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves – all provided).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.

Ability to work in a lab and office setting, use standard office and laboratory equipment, and stamina to sit for extended periods. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. Vision to read printed materials and computer screens; hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
