Salary Range: $43,800 - $65,700 per year
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 08:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Summary: Conducts research addressing the urgent challenge of antibiotic resistance by developing next-generation antimicrobials using an established peptide database. This position will join a lab that will use AI to identify effective and non-hemolytic antimicrobial peptides. Responsibilities include maintaining the laboratory, equipment and supplies.
Required Qualifications- No prior experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Attention to detail and strong math skills.
- Willingness to accept training in new technologies and computer software applications.
- Scientific and technical knowledge of laboratory experiments.
- Willingness to follow recommended improvements in technologies.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, professional staff and students.
- Master's degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Virology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- One or more years’ experience in a research laboratory, preferably in virology, molecular biology, cell biology, and/or immunology.
- Knowledge of basic microbiology and immunology, particularly in antimicrobial development.
- Self-motivated, positive, organized, with a good work ethic.
- Knowledge of institutional, state, and federal guidelines and policies for laboratory practices.
- Experience with Graph Pad Prism preferred.
