Research Technician; Part-Time Temporary

The Research Assistant will assist with the research study titled "A novel platform to facilitate provider adoption of cognitive care planning" to recruit approximately 80 patients and caregivers. Recruited dyads will either receive a standard office visit or an office visit supplemented with the use of the Brain Check software and a Brain Check produced visit summary. Duties will include:

• Study recruitment:
  The Research Assistant will work with the PI and division faculty to review the EHR to identify eligible candidates.
• Screen and consent:
  The Research Assistant will contact candidate and family caregiver to discuss the study and obtain consent from interested individuals.
• Data collection:
  The Research Assistant will attend clinic visits to connect candidates with Brain Check software when indicated, assist the physician with printing the Brain Check report and uploading into the EMR. The RA will also time visits and meet with patient/caregiver after visit to administer survey instruments.
• Chart review:
  The Research Assistant will monitor enrolled subjects during the study via EMR review, and gather data at the prescribed time points.
• Coordination between Brain Check and UNMC:
  The Research Assistant will interact with Brain Check team for troubleshooting of interface and software issues. The RA will also work with UNMC PI and Geriatrics clinic staff and faculty to optimize study workflow.
