Position Summary

This position drives a major initiative within CHRI called Nebraska GROWN, a statewide, multi‑year pediatric cancer cohort study. The role leads project planning, resource assignment, progress of key deliverables, team guidance, and reporting on metrics and status to CHRI leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Nebraska GROWN study, including activation milestones, recruitment, retention, operations, logistics, and budget.
  • Define timelines and deliverable targets, and deploy resources to achieve them.
  • Provide oversight of study activities and staff to ensure compliance and accurate progress.
  • Plan and direct biobanking and data banking efforts, including biobank request handling procedures and tracking.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Health Sciences, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    3 years of progressive project/program management, managing multiple projects, familiarity with clinical/academic research or process improvement projects.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Abilities:
    Project management, independent work under competing deadlines, effective collaboration across diverse backgrounds, excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking, problem‑solving, attention to detail, leadership, motivation, and direction of work groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education:

    Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related health field.
  • Experience:

    Healthcare, laboratory, or clinical research with patient‑facing responsibilities; large observational cohort research exposure; REDCap expertise.
  • Licensing: ACRP or CCRC license.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    SAP, Red Cap, other clinical research applications.
  • Additional:
    Experience in an academic research setting; emotional intelligence traits; self‑starter with minimal supervision; flexibility to change; good judgment and discretion in confidential manner.
