Essential Functions
  • Research Support:
    Conduct experiments, fabricate prototypes, and assist faculty and students with NE3D research projects.
  • Equipment Management:
    Operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and document use of 3D printers and other laboratory equipment.
  • Data Collection:
    Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain research data and laboratory records.
  • Education & Outreach:
    Support student training, workshops, K-12 programs, demonstrations, summer programs, and community engagement.
  • Center Documentation:
    Track and document research activities, equipment utilization, participants, milestones, outcomes, publications, and other information needed for NSF reporting and evaluation.

Required Qualifications
  • Research

    Experience:

    Experience conducting laboratory research, following experimental protocols, and collecting and organizing scientific data.
  • Additive Manufacturing

    Skills:

    Experience with 3D printing, CAD , prototyping, biomechanics, engineering, materials science, or related technologies.
  • Equipment & Technical

    Skills:

    Experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and documenting laboratory or research equipment.
  • Communication & Outreach:
    Experience working with students, researchers, educators, or community partners and supporting training, workshops, or STEM outreach activities.
  • Organization & Documentation:
    Strong organizational and computer skills with demonstrated ability to maintain research records, equipment logs, project documentation, and reports while managing multiple activities and deadlines.
