The beautiful Hilton Omaha is looking for a passionate Cook I to join our culinary team at Nick's Quorum Bar & Supper Club! Nick's Quorum blends nostalgic charm with contemporary culinary craftsmanship, offering elevated versions of traditional supper‑club dishes. This role offers exposure to a high‑caliber culinary program featuring seasonal ingredients, handcrafted menus, and a collaborative, guest‑focused kitchen environment.

The ideal Cook I candidate will have at least one year of kitchen experience; a culinary degree is preferred but not required. Candidates should be self‑motivated, eager to learn, and bring a positive, team‑focused attitude to the kitchen. They will be an integral part of the culinary team and will help execute the BARroom menu selections. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to grow are key, as there is significant room for advancement for those who take initiative and contribute positively to the team environment.

As a Cook I, I would be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and monitoring quality control for cold and hot food items in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, I would perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare and maintain the pantry station, ensuring all cold items are made accurately and consistently.
• Execute prep work and line cooking duties with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Support execution of the BARroom menu, including timely preparation, assembly, and coordination with the bar and culinary teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with kitchen standards.
• Cook and plate menu items to specification during brunch and dinner service in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Communicate effectively with the Chef and culinary team to ensure smooth service and accurate execution.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory following proper food‑safety procedures.
• Follow all kitchen safety protocols and uphold brand and quality standards at all times.
• Adapt to schedule variations, including weekends and holidays, and reliably report to shifts with dependable transportation.
