Breadbasket Manager
Join our dynamic team at Bickford Senior Living as the Breadbasket Manager! The Breadbasket Manager supports all aspects of our restaurant‑style dining experience called the “Bread Basket.” This includes ordering, meal preparation, presentation, and the meal service experience.
Job OverviewThe Breadbasket Manager ensures the smooth operation of the Bread Basket dining service by managing procurement, preparing meals, and delivering high‑quality dining experiences to our residents. The manager maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, adheres to Bickford’s policies and standards, and collaborates with other departments.
Key Responsibilities- Occasional mandatory travel for training and development.
- Order food in a timely, cost‑effective manner following Bickford’s processes.
- Ensure appropriate production information is available (production sheets, recipes, prep/pull sheets, menus).
- Prepare meals according to Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
- Serve food timely, at correct temperatures, and appropriately plated.
- Follow Bickford’s process during meal service.
- Interact with residents during meals to enhance their experience.
- Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
- Use the Meal Order Information form to track physician‑ordered diets, allergies, and preferences.
- Maintain food‑service records per regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
- Store food per regulatory and policy standards.
- Complete the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
- Ensure kitchen and dining room meet regulatory and cleanliness expectations.
- Coordinate with marketing and life enrichment leaders for tours and events menu/refreshment plans.
- High School Diploma or GED; one‑year related experience.
- Willingness to pursue additional required training or education.
- Serv Safe, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record meeting Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Full‑time employees receive a full suite of benefits (medical, dental, vision, prescription savings, 401(k) with employer match, voluntary products) with eligibility beginning the month after 30 days of employment. Part‑time employees receive voluntary life and voluntary short‑term disability coverage, and all employees are eligible for the 401(k) with employer match. Pay is available daily.
