Starting at $20 per hour + a $500 sign-on bonus, Orléans Room is looking for a dependable, motivated, and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our culinary team at the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel.

This is a great entry-level culinary opportunity for someone looking to build their skills and gain experience in a professional hotel kitchen. Working primarily breakfast shifts, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced culinary professionals while developing strong fundamentals in preparation, cooking, and service.

Orléans Room offers a captivating dining experience where guests enjoy thoughtfully crafted cuisine surrounded by an impressive backdrop of locally curated artwork. Rotating seasons bring ever-changing, locally sourced ingredients to a menu that is creative, fresh, and approachable. From Lobster Deviled Eggs and Truffle Frites to the iconic Reuben sandwich that debuted in the original Blackstone Hotel, now The Cottonwood, Orléans Room blends Omaha history with a fresh, modern dining experience.

Whether welcoming early-morning guests, serving brunch enthusiasts, or preparing memorable meals for hotel guests and locals, the Orléans Room culinary team plays an important role in creating the experience that makes the restaurant Omaha's living room.

• Prepare and execute breakfast menu items according to Orléans Room standards
• Complete daily prep accurately and efficiently
• Follow recipes, portioning, seasoning, and presentation standards
• Maintain proper cooking temperatures and food safety practices
• Keep a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation
• Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow team members during service
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen responsibilities
• Maintain consistency and quality across all dishes leaving the kitchen
• Follow all sanitation and kitchen safety standards
• Support the culinary team with additional kitchen responsibilities as needed

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
• A genuine interest in learning and growing in the culinary field
• Dependable and punctual work ethic
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn professional cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
