Center Store Associate

Spartan Nash, part of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family, is a food solutions company providing grocery and household products across the United States.

This role is responsible for independently displaying and stocking products to meet store objectives and ensuring a positive guest experience. The associate must also follow safety and food safety guidelines.

• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
• Properly fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays on the sales floor.
• Notify the manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Maintain familiarity with all products and their locations in the store.
• Handle spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines.
• Keep departments clean, attractive, and well stocked.
• Follow all PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
• Other assigned responsibilities as needed.

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail‑oriented.

The position may require lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate must stand and walk for extended periods, and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The job is performed in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and exposure to outside weather conditions.
