Archery Technician

SCHEELS is a leader in the sporting goods industry, offering a wide range of sports brands and exceptional customer service. The Associate role focuses on serving customers, managing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Starts at $17.50 per hour.

• Be knowledgeable to answer customers’ questions regarding location, price, and use of merchandise
• Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
• Follow customer requests and maintain safety requirements while providing service
• Provide bow services: setting up bows with accessories, tuning bows, repairing bows, stringing bows, and explaining repair processes and maintenance tips
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace, archery bench, back-stock space, and surrounding areas
• Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
• Attend sales and product knowledge training meetings when required
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively to customers and employees
• Apply common‑sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Perform basic math and calculations using units of measurement, currency, and percentages
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect while following Scheels’ policies and procedures
• Work scheduled hours, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Perform additional duties assigned by leadership

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, or at least three months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Must sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work: exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Associated safety procedures are expected to be followed to minimize injury risk.
