Floral Associate

This role maintains and operates the Floral department, including trimming and preparation of merchandise, ensuring the work shift contributes to the financial best interest of the store.

• Produce floral arrangements as directed; follow procedures for culling, trimming, and storing product.
• Weigh, package, and label products.
• Handle spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines.
• Properly fill, rotate, and merchandise produce and floral shelves, cases, and displays; assist with unloading deliveries and stacking product in coolers.
• Notify the Manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers.
• Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department, knowing differences in price, taste, preparation, and use.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and well‑stocked departments.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• Assist with tasks in other departments as needed based on customer experience.

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Must be able to work with fresh fruits, vegetables, etc., without allergic reactions that adversely affect performance.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

May be required to lift or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Stand and walk for extended periods; may bend, stoop, twist, or turn frequently.

Work in varied temperatures and outside weather conditions; noise level is usually low to moderate.

Travel requirements vary by assignment.
