Gift Wrap Associate; Temp

Job Description

Borsheims is seeking a temporary Holiday Gift Wrap Associate to join our team. This role is essential in delivering our Signature Service to every customer.

The Gift Wrap Associate provides Borsheims' signature service by preparing beautifully wrapped packages that celebrate life's special moments. This role is responsible for inspecting merchandise, boxing and wrapping items according to brand standards, maintaining gift wrap supplies, and assisting customers at the gift wrap counter. The Gift Wrap Associate supports a positive customer experience by working efficiently, maintaining attention to detail, and ensuring a clean, organized work area.

• Wrap and box merchandise neatly and efficiently according to store standards
• Inspect and clean merchandise prior to packaging
• Match sales receipts to items to ensure accuracy
• Maintain inventory of gift wrap supplies and restock as needed
• Greet customers and assist them at the gift wrap counter
• Carry packages for customers upon request
• Keep gift wrap area clean, organized, and well maintained
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Previous retail, customer service, or gift-wrapping experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow wrapping standards
• Manual dexterity and comfort handling small or delicate items
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly communication skills and a customer-service mindset
• Dependable, organized, and able to work collaboratively with a team

• Ability to work assigned schedule on a regular basis.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail when wrapping packages.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to see well enough to read small print, identify merchandise, spot flaws in merchandise, and read a computer screen and printout.
• Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse with others in person, via telephone and paging system.
• Ability to move about the store from department to department, get behind narrow counter areas, bend down or reach up into drawers/shelves, and climb a ladder to retrieve merchandise/boxes from shelves.
• Dexterity to write in small print, handle small jewelry/gift items, fold tissue and boxes, pull paper and tear from rolls, tie bows, use scissors, and operate a computer keyboard.
• Stamina to stand and/or walk for over eight hours.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20 lbs.
