We are hiring for a Business Development Manager opportunity with an innovative, fast-growing SaaS company transforming the construction technology space. This role is based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a hybrid or onsite work setup preferred.
As the Business Development Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Business Development Representatives responsible for generating qualified pipeline and building strong relationships with contractors and construction leaders. You will play a key role in shaping outbound strategy, improving sales processes, and strengthening collaboration across Sales and Marketing.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who understands the importance of coaching, accountability, and creating a strong customer experience while operating in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.
What You’ll Be Doing Team Leadership & Coaching- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BDRs with a focus on skill-building, confidence, and long‑term career growth
- Conduct regular one‑on‑ones, call reviews, team meetings, and training sessions
- Foster a positive, accountable, and high‑performance sales culture
- Provide direct and actionable coaching to improve outbound effectiveness
- Own team performance against pipeline and qualified meeting goals
- Ensure consistent outbound execution across phone, email, and Linked In channels
- Help the team effectively communicate value to construction industry buyers and stakeholders
- Maintain a customer‑first mindset that strengthens the company’s reputation in the market
- Build and refine outbound playbooks, cadences, and messaging strategies
- Partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align on target accounts, campaigns, and messaging
- Improve lead handoff quality between BDRs and Account Executives to support stronger conversion rates
- Maintain strong CRM hygiene and reporting standards within Salesforce
- Use reporting and data insights to identify trends, performance gaps, and coaching opportunities
- Bring structure, organization, and repeatability to a growing outbound sales function
- 2 to 5 years of BDR or SDR management experience, ideally within B2B SaaS
- Proven experience coaching and developing early‑career sales professionals
- Strong understanding of outbound sales processes and pipeline generation
- Highly organized with the ability to manage team performance and operational cadence
- Comfortable working in a startup or scale‑up environment with evolving processes and priorities
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills
- Experience selling into construction, trades, or field‑service industries
- Exposure to construction technology or vertical SaaS products
- Familiarity with leveraging AI or emerging technologies to improve sales efficiency and customer experience
- Someone passionate about developing people and building strong team culture
- A motivational and empathetic leader who can also provide direct feedback
- Curious about learning complex industries and buyer landscapes
- Organized, intentional, and thoughtful in how they manage priorities
- Accountable, respectful, and collaborative in their leadership style
