Position OverviewOutside Sales Representative – Nebraska (Valve Pump Rental Division)
We are looking for a self‑sufficient, driven salesperson to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand our market presence, and represent our strong brand to contractors, municipal, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities- Generate profitable sales revenue by renting pumps and providing engineered pumping solutions.
- Establish new rental accounts through phone calls and in‑person visits.
- Present turnkey services and ensure project plans and updates are communicated effectively.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of rental products, pricing, terms, and policies.
- Drive new business through proactive outreach, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
- Lead negotiations to win business.
- Work closely with internal teams to convey the value of our solutions.
- Manage territory effectively, adjusting to shifting priorities and timelines.
- Elicit cooperation and defuse tension when necessary.
- Effectively multitask, prioritize, and execute tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Contribute to our collaborative, employee‑owned culture by sharing ideas and feedback.
- May work under extreme weather conditions.
- May work closely with moving machinery and/or mechanical parts.
- May be exposed to fumes and toxic chemicals.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Overtime may be required on short notice.
- Travel may be required.
- Proven experience in solution‑based sales or selling a product with a service element.
- Ability to build relationships and navigate complex sales processes with a diverse customer base.
- Strong technical mindset and the ability to convey complex ideas engagingly.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and eager to contribute to an ownership‑driven culture.
- Proven track record of growth in a territory‑based sales role.
- Construction management or pump equipment background.
- A strong network of contacts in the construction and contractor sectors.
