Trades Specialist – Omaha, NE

As a Trades Specialist you will be part of the Commercial Construction field sales team as a virtual employee in the Kansas City, MO territory. Your primary focus will be to achieve top‑line sales targets and build strong relationships with end‑user customers.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve division and local market sales targets by selling DeWalt, Stanley, LENOX, Irwin, Bostitch, Porter cable and other brands
  • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end‑user partners through product and services solutions and management of CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs
  • Teach and mentor the local market team on end‑user development, including how to contact trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics, purchasers, and how to align their efforts with local teams, product managers, distributors, and service centers
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives
  • Maintain and use  as a CRM and planning tool
  • Communicate successes and failures in a timely fashion to develop a more streamlined process and drive future success with key accounts and opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields (preferred; relevant construction field experience may substitute)
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or marketing for construction supplies with a proven track record delivering results
  • Experience selling to high‑level executives, C‑Suite, and jobsite directors (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to blend empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory assignment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Bilingual preferred
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with a total target cash compensation range of $84,000.00 – $, inclusive of sales incentive plan or commission
