Position: Product Support Sales Rep (PSSR)

Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR)

Professional salesperson with in-depth knowledge of the company and its products, services, and support programs; meets with customers and prospects to identify new opportunities for parts and/or service sales and works closely with Parts and Service Managers to quote and follow‑up with existing accounts.

This position will be located at the Omaha, NB branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Branch Manager.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintains a sales program within the area based on customer requirements; organizes territory to maximize selling time.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing customers; sets up new vendors.
  • Informs customers of supply and price trends.
  • Secures and renews orders and arranges delivery dates.
  • Supports internal sales, service, and parts departments.
  • Assists with past‑due account balances.
  • Performs inspections on cranes as requested by customers or insurance companies, completes inspections on time, and discusses results with customers.
  • Compiles and prepares lists and labor estimates for quotes.
  • Provides customers with technical support; offers operator and maintenance orientation on new equipment; ensures scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
  • Researches and delivers parts to customers.
  • Works closely with Parts and Service Managers to accomplish monthly sales goals.
  • Increases sales of replacement parts and solicits revenue repair work on equipment.
  • Provides exceptional customer support through timely communications and excellent service.
  • Follows up on sales calls.
  • Delivers welcome packet within one week of delivery of a new or used product.
  • Serves as a subject‑matter expert on the complete product line in the area of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; a minimum of three (3) years of sales experience in the construction equipment industry preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be self‑disciplined and possess exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to gaining clientele.
  • Knowledge of crane equipment (e.g., ATs, RTs, crawlers) preferred.
  • Must have a clean driving record and the ability to travel. Travel: 80% daily travel within assigned territory; occasional overnight travel required.
Health & Safety Requirements
  • Perform job functions in a safe manner.
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) per company policy.
  • Know and follow established job‑specific and facility‑wide safety and health procedures and rules.
  • Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
  • Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those you can.
Working Conditions

Full‑time position with typical working hours between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; overtime and weekend work may be required based on business conditions.

The position will be in a normal sales office environment, exposed to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Employees may need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Annual salary range of $50,000–$65,000 plus variable compensation. Pay is provided bi‑weekly.
