IntroductionCarrier Enterprise is a premier national distributor specializing in residential and light commercial HVAC products, parts, and supplies. We serve licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors across 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and Canada. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing long‑term relationships with key residential and construction accounts, driving revenue through strategic planning, consultative selling, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Strategically manage a high‑value portfolio of builder, developer, and contractor accounts to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
- Develop and implement data‑driven account strategies that enhance customer retention while expanding share of wallet across our product lines.
- Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities within existing accounts while identifying and converting strategic targeted accounts.
- Execute the comprehensive sales cycle from lead generation through final sales, including consultative presentations and negotiations.
- Drive adoption of comprehensive HVAC solutions—including equipment, controls, service agreements, and system upgrades—to increase revenue streams.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with estimating and inside sales teams to develop compelling, competitive proposals that win business.
- Coordinate with operations, order management, and service teams to ensure exceptional sales execution and client satisfaction.
- Support business intelligence initiatives, including accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic planning processes.
- Monitor industry developments, construction trends, and competitive activities to maintain market advantage and identify emerging opportunities.
- 5+ years of sales or account management experience in HVAC, construction, or building services.
- Proven record managing large or complex accounts.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office or similar platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region.
- Minimum 4‑year bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of sales experience in HVAC, construction, or building materials.
