Job DescriptionThe Endoscopy Account Manager (EAM) is responsible for selling all products relating to the Gastrointestinal (GI) Care call points within their designated geographical territory. The EAM must develop and implement a local business plan that follows Medical Business goals and directives to achieve maximum product sales and profitability. The EAM collaborates with field support personnel and sales colleagues to coordinate activities that best serve customers and drive the business focus for the company.
Job Duties- Meet or exceed sales objectives within a designated territory.
- Identify and pursue the capital, disposable, and repair service business at the account level by making routine calls and visits to existing or new customers.
- Implement sales strategy for all product groups within the Endoscopy division.
- Determine key decision‑makers and devise plans to establish Olympus product use in major and key accounts.
- Use group contracts whenever possible while ensuring compliance.
- Establish, develop, or maintain field contact with key customers, clinicians and researchers, and other decision makers in assigned accounts, including travel to customer facilities and onsite support. Employees must adhere to all customer vendor credentialing requirements when visiting medical facilities.
- Develop and maintain effective knowledge of the overall GI business in the evolving healthcare marketplace.
- Provide necessary and appropriate after‑sale service to accounts and pursue additional business opportunities.
- Provide input to Service and Marketing organizations and others regarding sales forecasts, competitive activity, group contracted business, and other field information.
- Maintain accurate customer information records of key personnel, product usage and developing opportunities via CRM system.
- Secure Olympus owned assets and provide proper care and maintenance of demo and sample equipment and accessories.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales, marketing or clinical experience, preferably in healthcare gastroenterology or endoscopic field, including at least 1 year of sales experience in healthcare capital equipment.
- Proven track record of success.
- Proficient in developing and following quarterly and annual business plans.
- Strong closing skills.
- Team orientation.
- Experience with and comfort using CRM software (Salesforce).
- Basic computer skills (MS Office) and strong communication (verbal & written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
- High degree of initiative, creativity and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. The EAM also coordinates and directs the activities of the field support personnel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Adherence to all customer and vendor credentialing requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred or equivalent education and experience.
- Clinical or medical device selling/marketing experience strongly desired.
- Specialized knowledge of human anatomy/physiology and related diseases where Olympus products might be utilized.
