Cox Communications, Inc. Retail Sales Associate (Solutions Specialist Mobile - CCI) Job Description

Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences and drive sales of our mobile and technology products.

Hourly base rate $15.29–$22.88, with an annual incentive target of $15,348. Additional variable compensation may total up to $65,735 based on location, experience and sales performance. Base hourly rate $17.00/hr plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279, with a ramp period of up to 2 months.

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs
• Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention
• Assist with opening and closing the retail store environment
• Properly handle cash
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
• Support fellow sales agents when needed
• Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings via training
• May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area

• HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively sell products using a consultative, solutions-based approach and influence customer decisions
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment
• Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods of time to greet customers and demonstrate products and services
• Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory

• Some college experience with a focus in sales, business and/or management
• One year of experience in a related field (Sales, Retail Sales, Service Industry, etc.)
• Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
• Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken
