Role Overview
The Residential Outside Sales Representative is a door‑to‑door sales position based in the Omaha area. Applicants must be able to work outdoors, travel within a defined territory, and comply with all state and local licensing requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate new leads, sales, and upgrades by prospecting, building referrals, and networking with homeowners, HOA managers, leasing agents, and other community contacts. Deliver face‑to‑face sales presentations, assess customer needs, negotiate terms, and close the sale. Maintain high ethical standards, follow company policy, and represent the company professionally at all times.
- Engage with homeowner associations, multi‑dwelling unit managers, and leasing agents to generate sales opportunities.
- Work evening and weekend shifts to maximize customer contact.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain a professional customer experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or up to two years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to obtain required certifications for Home Security sales.
- Proficient with smartphone, iPad, and computer use.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Capability to walk one or more miles a day and navigate stairs within the territory.
- Willingness to carry an iPad with case and light marketing bag for extended periods.
- Knowledge of the local market with established contacts.
- At least one year of outside/field door‑to‑door sales experience with quota requirements.
- Experience in residential direct sales, home security, or telecommunications.
Base salary range: $27,500 – $41,300. Annual incentive/commission target: $32,496. Sign‑on bonus: $2,000 (external candidates) or $1,000 (internal candidates), paid in two installments (90 days and 180 days of employment). Two‑month ramp‑up period during which full commission is earned.
