This position will help direct Field Agronomist activities in collaboration with Regional Business Managers and drive sales by focusing agronomists on duties that maximize time and skills. The role serves the marketing territory of Iowa and Nebraska, and is ideal for someone living in or willing to relocate to these states.

• Lead and manage an agronomy team in coordination with sales leadership to create an outstanding customer experience.
• Create quarterly activity plans with Regional Business Managers to direct Field Agronomists toward productive sales activities.
• Perform quarterly reviews of activity plans to evaluate and reward Field Agronomist performance, including:
  • Sales support – coordinate ride‑alongs, meetings, service calls, and other sales‑driving activities.
  • Local product expertise – train Seed Advisors and dealers to position Beck’s products locally, assist in plot coordination and data management, and collaborate with Product leadership for launches.
  • PFR Proven knowledge – train Field Agronomists on PFR Proven products, practices, and integration into sales conversations and digital ag platform.
  • Force Multiplier training – teach Field Agronomists how to lead and train their Seed Advisors and dealers to amplify sales efforts.
  • Personal development – support Field Agronomists’ personal and professional growth with continuing education and business development.
• Assist the Director of Research, Agronomy & PFR in developing quarterly incentive plans and communicate development needs of local Field Agronomist teams.
• Develop customer‑facing content (written, audio, video) with the agronomy team and review the content.
• Attend and participate in Regional Business Manager and ATL meetings to deliver and train sales teams.
• Collaborate with the Director of Research, Agronomy & PFR and Regional Business Managers in developing strategies to drive regional business plans and increase sales.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Education and training:
  • M.S. degree in Agronomy or related field preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Agronomy with minimum seven years of field experience
  • People‑management experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record per company policy; safety‑sensitive position.
• Technical knowledge:
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) license preferred
  • Basic computer and current software skills
  • Chauffeur license or equivalent required
• Physical demands:
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate if required
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
• Drug test and background check required for all full‑time applicants, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
