Account Manager responsible for selling to existing customers, cross‑selling, upselling, and growing existing business. Manages all aspects of the customer relationship, evaluates the relationship, identifies customer tendencies and preferences, cultivates the relationship, anticipates objections and concerns and resolves issues. Provides consultation and advice regarding sales and product strategy and maintains dispensing equipment used with Meyer Lab products.
Job Duties:- Drive Account Expansion: Sell to existing customers, uncover cross‑sell/upsell opportunities, nurture and expand relationships, build brand presence and loyalty, and displace competitors.
- Customer Service and Maintenance: Manage the customer relationship, maximize success outcomes, build and execute account plans, conduct regular reviews, and resolve objections or concerns.
- Preventative Maintenance: Maintain dispensing equipment efficiency through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Average 6‑8 in‑person sales calls per day.
- Administrative duties including order processing, building service calendar, updating notes and entering sales orders through our CRM (Oracle Net Suite). Additional duties include inventory and accounts receivable support.
- Travel up to 250‑mile radius in territory weekly.
- In rare cases, potential for 2 overnights a month.
Services Nebraska, eastern Iowa, and southern South Dakota.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum of 3‑5 years quota‑carrying sales experience as an industrial account manager or similar role.
- Track record of increasing account penetration.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships with an industrial customer base.
- Excellent leadership and indirect management of sales support colleagues.
- Must currently have or be able to obtain and maintain CDL‑C within first 90 days of employment.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Hazardous Materials Endorsement.
- Excellent work history.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and climb at heights with proper safety equipment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Mechanical aptitude including minor electrical and plumbing.
