In this role you will work closely with Small and Mid‑Sized Business owners to build relationships and help them maximize the value of our business card and payment products.

About the Job

Territory: TX, OK, MN, SD, NE, KS, CO

As a Local Market Leader (LML), you will report directly to the Regional Vice President of Customer Growth in Business Cards & Payments and will lead a high‑performing team of locally based relationship managers. Your responsibilities will include recruiting, onboarding and training sellers, coaching and motivating the team, and driving the achievement of revenue and financial objectives for the assigned markets.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver superior growth and profitability by meeting or exceeding targets in purchase volume, existing customer growth, account penetration, profit, cost, and productivity across your region while providing outstanding customer and associate experiences.
  • Provide sales leadership and direction, and program management within the team.
  • Build a dynamic sales culture that complements the broader Field strategy and assists the team in achieving account growth and purchase volume goals.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning with the Customer Growth Sales extended leadership team to drive growth, market share, revenue, cross‑sell, sales‑force growth and productivity, targeted market penetration, customer retention and profit goals.
  • Ensure all customer interactions comply with Capital One legal, compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Champion effective partnerships with headquarters‑based support teams and local Retail and Small Business banking and Commercial bank relationships throughout the market.
  • Select, orientate, train, coach, develop, motivate and conduct joint work with the team of Relationship Managers.
  • Partner with other Local Market Leaders to ensure consistent execution of sales strategies.
  • Champion voice of client and associate feedback to support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a deep passion for coaching and developing front‑line sales professionals and for your own personal growth.
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of business‑to‑business sales experience.
  • At least 3 years of sales management or peer‑coaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Management.
  • 6+ years of customer growth or business development sales experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role.
  • 5+ years of portfolio management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience partnering with Small Businesses.
  • 3+ years of financial industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Sales Territory: $145,000 - $180,000 for Senior Manager, Local Market.
Plano, TX: $145,000 - $180,000 for Senior Manager, Local Market.
Role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
