Role Description The Outdoor & Watersports Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based at Omaha Marine Center in Omaha, NE. This role involves greeting customers, assessing their needs, and recommending boats, watersports equipment, and accessories that match their interests and budget. The associate will provide detailed product information, demonstrate features, prepare sales quotes, process transactions, and assist with special orders.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining merchandise displays, restocking inventory, keeping the showroom and pro shop organized, and supporting promotional events. The role also requires collaborating with the service and parts teams, following up with customers, and ensuring a positive, informed buying experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide knowledgeable sales assistance for boats, watersports equipment, and accessories, with an enthusiasm for outdoor and marine recreation.
• Strong customer service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a professional, welcoming demeanor in a retail setting.
• Basic sales and merchandising skills, such as presenting products, handling transactions, and maintaining organized, appealing displays.
• Comfort with learning technical product details, including boat features, maintenance basics, and appropriate watersports gear recommendations.
• Reliable time management and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow store procedures and support colleagues across sales, service, and parts.
• Ability to work on-site full-time, including weekends and peak seasonal hours, and to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights as needed.
• Prior retail or sales experience is preferred; experience in marine, outdoor, or sporting goods environments is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred for assisting with boat movement or customer demonstrations.
