This position is part of the Army Fellows Program and is a CIVILIAN position with the Department of the Army. It is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce.

In this role you will:- Apply concepts and techniques in biological, physical, and ecological sciences to support a variety of projects.
- Assist with determining the potential impacts of proposed activities on wetlands and wildlife resources.
- Devise both short- and long-term migration plans to minimize adverse effects on the environment and assist with preparing the reports.

Basic Requirements for Environmental Resource Specialist:
- Degree:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. Degree must be completed by June 2026. - Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience that includes one or more of the following: assisting in applying concepts and techniques in biological, physical, and ecological sciences to support projects; determining impacts of activities on wetlands and wildlife resources; developing short- and long-term migration plans to minimize adverse effects on the environment and assisting with preparing reports. Must meet the definition of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS‑05). - OR
Education:
One full year of graduate-level education (or completion of one full year by June 2026) in a field such as biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, or chemistry, demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position.
