Position: Field/Junior Geologist | Environmental Management [USACE007012]

Job Overview

Pro Sidian seeks a Field/Junior Geologist | Environmental Management for USACE
007012 on a contingent basis. Location is CONUS across ten states (CO, IA, KS, MN, MO, MT, NE, ND, SD, WY) within the Environmental Management sector, focusing on Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) to support DoD/USACE projects, including flood management, environmental restoration, and related engineering activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in geological surveys; collect samples; support fieldwork and analysis.
  • Conduct geological surveys, analyze soil and rock samples, and prepare geological reports.
  • Act as resident project geologist for each task order (as appropriate) and ensure that plan development, field activities, report writing, designs, and related deliverables meet high quality standards.
  • Apply knowledge of surface and subsurface soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment sampling techniques and documentation procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4-year college degree in geology or geological engineering; 3+ years of experience in Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) projects preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of geology and fieldwork practices; willingness to work outdoors; understanding of environmental regulations.
  • Entry-level option: internship or 1-2 years in geological fieldwork; bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field.
  • Skills:

    sampling techniques, field data collection, basic geological analysis; professional licensure not required but pursuing a Professional Geologist (PG) license is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to work collaboratively in a team and in field environments.
