Job Description

As a Security Officer - Downtown Patrol in Omaha, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support smooth operations through clear communication and outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following post orders, site-specific policies, and Allied Universal procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the warehouse, yard, dock areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or shipping documentation as directed, and help maintain orderly truck flow at gates and staging areas.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to on-site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and maintain logs of patrol findings, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to management and/or other site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
