Position Title: Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician plays a critical role in servicing laser printing OEM machines across a territory of approximately two hours around Omaha, NE. This position involves working with advanced technologies, including industrial coders and markers, as well as cutting‑edge laser systems such as CO₂, Fiber, and UV lasers. The technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of these systems, which requires a strong electromechanical background and effective troubleshooting skills.

The role demands a proactive and organized individual who is comfortable in customer‑facing situations. Technicians will perform preventative maintenance and respond to service requests, contributing to the high compliance standards expected by major clients in the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize emergency service situations
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on laser printing systems
  • Manage on‑site parts and supplies inventory, ordering replacements as needed
  • Document all work orders and provide detailed reports on printer performance
  • Support local customers and travel to various states as required
Field Service Technician Requirements
  • A strong electromechanical background is required
  • IT and networking skills, particularly with laser systems, are increasingly important
  • Comfort with diagnostics, troubleshooting, electronics, and software‑driven systems is required
  • Candidates with military technical backgrounds, industrial maintenance, or printer/coding equipment experience are highly desirable
  • A proactive, organized, and accountable personality is essential
  • Electronics or engineering background is preferred
  • Experience with industrial printing equipment or similar complex machinery is preferred
  • Ability to analyze printer performance data and generate reports is preferred
  • Experience with inventory control and parts management is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred
