Responsibilities- Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Performing preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
- Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
- Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team and outside
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding and compliance with Penske instructions, guidelines, rules, or information
- Ability to perform work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including tool selection, PPE, guarding, and safety practices
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Willingness to meet DOT requirements related to driving, including MVR checks, DOT Physical, and Safety History records; CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work the required schedule at the specified location, complete employment application, undergo background screening, pass drug screen and physical as required, and potential travel for training
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and requires alertness and safe practices. Associates must take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
Physical Requirements- Move, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands to grasp, reach, and operate required tools
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Work safely in all weather conditions
- See and hear to navigate the work environment
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally; ability to push/pull tires over 100 lbs
Pay: $24.00
Hours: 3:30pm-12am Tuesday-Saturday
Shift Differentials: Second shift start times after 11am: +$2.50 per hour;
Third shift start after 9pm: +$3.50 per hour
