Eligibility Criteria- 6+ months experience working for ITC Service Group on Google Fiber.
- Past or present experience on a Drop Tech Team.
- Good standing with no formal warnings for the past 6 months.
- Consistently above‑expectation performance on metrics.
- Actively listen, learn and follow instructions from foreman or supervisor.
- Assist with excavation and pulling equipment.
- Perform required labor for construction and maintenance projects, including ditch digging and fiber pulling.
- Maintain basic first‑aid knowledge and safety procedures.
- Operate power tools and hand tools as needed.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, establishing and maintaining working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public.
- Assist with restoration of landscape to original or better condition once work is completed.
- Load and unload structural materials and move materials within work areas.
- Lifting at least 50 lbs daily.
- Assist a journeyman‑level trade person in a variety of field activities.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- General cleanup of job site.
- Experience splicing and drop work.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
- Willingness to follow direction from supervisor.
Work involves standing, talking, hearing, using hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reaching with hands and arms. Employees frequently walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell. Skill is required to operate listed tools and equipment. Employees must perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Employees must frequently push, pull, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Work is performed in inclement weather, near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, vibration, high or precarious places, and may involve exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
Education and Experience- High school graduation or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
