Installation Technician, Security Systems Installation
Job Overview
We are hiring a dependable and hands‑on Alarm Installer to support residential security system installations. This is a field based role ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, solving technical problems, and interacting directly with customers.
The Alarm Installer is responsible for installing, programming, and maintaining security systems in residential settings. This includes alarms, CCTV systems, and access control devices. Technicians will travel to customer locations, complete installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure customers are comfortable using their systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install and program alarm systems, CCTV cameras, and access control equipment
- Run wiring and complete low voltage cabling for system installations
- Install sensors including door contacts, motion detectors, glass break sensors, and smoke detectors
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and signal issues
- Test and verify all equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Educate customers on how to use and manage their security systems
- Complete job documentation and accurately track materials used
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle inventory
- Provide professional and friendly customer service at all times
- Experience with wiring, cabling, electrical work, HVAC, or similar hands‑on work preferred
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a field environment
- Reliable personal vehicle required for travel between job sites
- Professional demeanor when working inside customer homes
- Ability to obtain and maintain basic tools and PPE including a 6 foot ladder preferably a folding ladder for transport, screwdrivers or an electric drill, wire cutters, and a hand sheetrock saw. Candidates are expected to build up their tool set over time if they do not already have all items

Field based role with travel to residential locations within a local area. Schedule may vary and can include weekends. Training is provided to build technical skills and support long term success. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
