Equipment Operator Heavy Civil Construction

Position Summary

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safe and technically proficient operation of equipment assigned.

• Comply with all Safety policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.
• Complete equipment condition reports and a daily checklist of work to be done on your equipment, and provide them to the Project Superintendent daily.
• Clean the machines regularly: sweep cabs and remove trash daily, clean the interior weekly, and lubricate doors and windows bi‑weekly.
• Understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures; know the utilities within the work zone; be responsible for your own safety as well as that of others in the area.
• Inform the Superintendent or Foreman daily of your equipment fuel status so the fuel truck can be scheduled if needed for the next morning.
• Make a note on your equipment report and let the Superintendent know if you need any supplies (grease, oil, rags, cleaning supplies, or if the machine needs to be steam cleaned).

• Must have 3‑5 years Operator Experience in Heavy/Civil Construction.
• OSHA 10 certification.
