Fire Detection Inspector

What you will do

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on electrical fire alarm life safety product lines and similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines.
• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
• Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Self‑starter who can work with little or no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
• Physical capability to perform labor required by the role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Obtain NICET Level
  
  I certification within 1 year of employment.
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook – and smartphone skills.

Hourly rate: $17.36 – $23.84 (based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; internal equity and market alignment). This position includes a competitive benefits package.
