HVAC Journeymen
$25-$28/hour
• Long-Term Assignment
Seeking a Journeyman HVAC to support ongoing residential and commercial projects in the Gretna, NE area. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems while ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
Bonus Opportunity- $350 Attendance Bonus for perfect attendance during the first 30 days
Pay
: $25-$28/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule
:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM or 4:00 PM

- Drug Screen Required
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Client Interview Required
- Journeyman's License
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues including airflow, temperature control, electrical, and mechanical failures
- Perform preventative maintenance: inspections, filter changes, belt replacement, coil cleaning, lubrication, and operational testing
- Install and replace HVAC components such as thermostats, motors, contractors, capacitors, relays, sensors, and controls
- Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Test electrical circuits and controls using appropriate meters and diagnostic tools
- Support start-ups and system checks to confirm performance and proper operation
- Document work completed, parts used, and next-step recommendations
- Maintain clean work areas and follow site safety policies at all times
- Work independently, prioritize work, and provide clear job updates
- Hand tools and power tools
- HVAC test equipment
- Schematics and blueprints
- New Residential construction job sites
- Work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions (heat/cold)
- Follow jobsite safety expectations and maintain clean work areas
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Comfortable using common tools and test equipment (gauges, multimeter, hand/power tools)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate what you found and what you fixed
- Dependable attendance and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- EPA Section 608 preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions
