Ahern offers a 5‑year Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice program at our Omaha, NE location. The apprenticeship involves working side‑by‑side with a journeyman sprinkler fitter installing automatic fire protection systems. The employment will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and apprentices will complete on‑the‑job training plus a 5‑year correspondence course toward becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter.

• At least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles
• Pass drug screen and physical (includes lifting and climbing)
• Self‑starter with strong mechanical background and a good learning attitude
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment
